Hey everyone!
This blog site is for people to answer those questions at the top of each day on the syllabus. You can post, you can comment, you can put pictures in it that fit the question, you can even write poetry! This is a place for you to put down your ideas, vents, questions that fit per question or discussion or articles that were part of the day - stuff that you found online, heard on the radio, or seen at a theater that pertains to environmental education and fits to the theme of the day.

WHAT GIVES ME HOPE??-not a "contributor" so this is how I will contribute
ReplyDeleteI would not really consider myself a complete optimist. I would love to be, but for some reason, there is always a little voice inside of me that laughs when I stay on the optimistic side of things for too long. Because of this, I surround myself with many optimists and try to listen and learn from them. My mentor from Texas encourages me to find the good in everything and everyone. He taught me to be an observer in all places that I go. Not only did he teach me to observe the landscape of each place and find something unique and special but also to pay attention to the people.
I walk pretty much everyday on trails in a park or greenspace and I have for a couple years now. In Texas during summers I spent time along the banks of the most beautiful river I have ever seen just watching how people interact with nature and each other. Each time I am out I find things that bring me hope. I look at families with children who are walking along a trail instead of watching TV. I look at each person and smile at the fact that they are out enjoying nature and what it has to offer. I love the solitude of being outdoors, but I enjoy seeing people out with me more than anything.
